Project Statement

This book is a photo sequence in the tradition of Nathan Lyons by Balázs Czeizel, a Hungarian photographer and graphic designer. Although the place does appear to be Eastern Europe the place and time of the photographs is unknown. The project was to investigate the familiarity as well as strangeness within a city. The book becomes about the reader’s dream like navigation of the artists photographs. To enhance the sense of dreaming the imagery is screened stochastically.
